The occurrence of mineral waters is associated with the flysch reservoir of underground waters, the tributaries of Poprad.
These are oxalates, accompanied by ordinary waters of the surface zone. In some of the surrounding deep holes, specific chloride oxalate called “zuber” was found. The first mentions of the healing properties of the local sources come from the mid-18th century. The local water is used to treat diseases of the digestive system, urinary tract and metabolism.
